myself and friend (KA) went to golden tiki. I have always wanted to go there or to Frankie’s. It was great fun. Busy place and we did not have a reservation but were able to stand at the bar.

mit is Happy Hour between 3 and 7 and great value.

 

And TWO of them were DEALT! To get 2 or more of those in 5000 hands is 1 in 355.5. If you played fast all day and played 10,000 hands, then it's 1 in 95.5.

Always wanted to try that place. Gotta do it this summer.

 

We had a few cocktails all very sweet but nice. The crab rangoons were delicious. We also had the chips and dip, the coconut shrimp and hot tots - all fine but not memorable - great value though. The staff were all great. They called up all the people celebrating birthdays and had them all dancing - all very funny and embarrassing the people called up. I was tempted to pretend that it was KA’s birthday but she would have killed me.

Because of surge pricing due to EDC, the Uber from Bellagio to the golden tiki was $40.

uber to mirage (where we went next) was $11.

 

Thanks for the pics and info on happy hour with Golden Tiki. I've thought about trying it and will do so in a couple of weeks.

So my friend KA is not a gambler but after golden tiki I tried to get her hooked. We got a taxi to rhumbar and had a couple of old fashioned and We got some frozen cocktails and headed to the high limit in mirage. $200 dollars in each. It started badly. First I knocked over her frozen mai tai all over the floor of the high limit. Then we lost the 400 with no play. Ouch, not a good intro to gambling.

 

We then walked to Bellagio and put in another 200 each. Got a bit of play. She liked buffalo.

then we headed over to the chandelier bar so she could try the verbena. I played some go at the bar and we lost the 400.

i had one drink token but wanted another to get myself a verbena. I said I was adding another 60, did she want to join to?? Reluctantly she said yea and I got some cards are got the money back up to 400

For our craps players…. I played pretty aggressively. 25 line bet, full odds, inside and then first hit pressed, then collected then full press. Having over 200 out there is more than I normally play but it was fucking great fun.
