    My Trip Report

    Hello VMBers,

This is my third trip (from Ireland) in the past 7 months thanks to a very understanding and amazing wife (or maybe a wife who is a having an affair and wants me gone for a few days.....hmmmmm......). Anyway back to happy thoughts. I believe this is my 19th Vegas trip of all time......

I have just checked in for my flight that is leaving tomorrow from Dublin to LAS (short layover in ORD).....This report will be mostly live as I will be solo for most of the trip but will have a friend from San Fran joining for Pearl Jam on Friday night in the MGM Grand.

I have never stayed in a Caesars property before and had a free night offer so decided on the Flamingo..... I know people often give out about this place but I have always had a good time there and it is a property that I want to scratch off my bucket list because of the history etc and Mrs Mackattack would not want to stay there (when in vegas she wants luxury).....

If any of you read my last two trip reports you will know that they were both :)cry:) losing trips, and on the trip in March Mrs Mackattack was sick for most of it (hence her encouraging me to book a new trip).

Plan is to eat fast, cheap, and unhealthily when alone and go more fancy when in the company of others.

I have gone over what I am planning to do each night about 1000 times but I will mostly go with the flow (again this is despite having a spreadsheet of loose plans).

Flight leaves Dublin at 930am and arrives into Vegas at 5pm local time.

Going to dump bags in room - head down for $100 in VP at Bugsys bar and $100 on a slot, THEN walk to the Stage Door for booze and water etc, then back to room to shower and get ready for a night of gambling in all the CET properties.

Next morning, I have written myself a note to tell 'future me' not to gamble in CET that day unless I plan on doing a good few hours because of how CET calculates ADT - So I will either commit to a good few hours of CET gambling or go across to Mirage to gamble before moving over to Bellagio to check in for 4 nights (or maybe go to Venetian where I have some money on the Grazie account to spend)

Plan on playing in a poker tournament on Thursday (probably in Aria as don't want to mess with ADT in Caesar's by entering one poker tournament). This will be my first time really seeding money in CET - from what I have read here over the years I am better off focusing the play in one day rather than splitting over a coupkle of days. Rest of Thursday will be gambling in MGM properties.

Friday - GAMBLE GAMBLE GAMBLE and Pearl Jam.

Saturday - have a reservation for Scotch 80 Prime in Palms for me and my friend.

Sunday - plan on hitting 2 royals, one a $1 and one at .25 (or maybe .50 we will have to see).

    Expecting mucho mucho hand pays.......

Excitement level is high and I will not be able to sleep tonight......

There will be a lot of Craps, VP, Slots and hopefully regular updates on here.....would also like to do some Bacarrat in Bellagio which I never get the courage to do (often due to bankroll)

Have a BR of 5-6K (depend in how things go). My friend also wired me 1K that he wants me to put in one spin of roulette (I will video call him when I'm doing it but it could be fun.

Sounds like a blast! Safe travels and lots of luck on the gambol!

And this probably goes without saying, but talk to the roulette dealer and/or pit boss before you initiate that video call, you know how they can be with phones at the tables and you don’t want a problem on your hands…

A great plan. In some circles the Flamingo is a "luxury" property.

Oh, so you're eating at White Castle. Good choice.

will definitely get permission upfront. With the 8 hour time difference I will probably be doing it early in the morning on the weekend so the guy will be up in Ireland. Would only ask at an empty table too.

I thought vegas was expensive. In Chicago airport having a beer waiting on connection. I’m a bit groggy from the sleeping tablet and melatonin combo. Trying a new system to beat jet lag.

good flight from Dublin to Chicago. Premium economy with AA was very good, better than the BA and Virgin I have had on my last two trips. I had no one beside me (which counts as a win) and will inevitably lead to the further wins later today.

Chicago is always expensive! I live in Illinois and I never go to Chicago. (Except when I'm flying to Vegas)

A Bud Light at Harry Reid probably wouldn't be tons cheaper, would it? Partly why I fly sober. Plus I hate going to the bathroom on the plane!

    Wishing you a fantastic trip.

I LOVED Scotch 80 Prime and got an email about it reopening. I am looking forward to reading your review.

Service pretty slow here. Room is nice. Going to have another beer then shower and go out. Need to shake the pearl jam disappointment
