I love that in my local Casino, you can get double free play by earning the free play on Free Play Thursday, waiting until Monday for their " Pick a flamingo" and Uspin promotions and using the free play money from Thursday to activate the Monday free play. I love that free play activates even more free play! :D I also like that in this local, soda is free whether or not you are playing.

    :)

I like that they are close... one is a $12 taxi ride away (or I can walk a few blocks to a free shuttle) there are two more where one is a $25 cab ride away and the other a $32 ride.

My closest one sends me a package each month of promotions, coupons, free play, etc - wife and I are going down this thursday which'll see us turning in about 10 that'll cover a fair amount of free play, some random free play and buy us dinner.

Drink service on the casino floor is fast - soft drinks are free, but if you order from the bar the waitress takes your order, goes right to the bar, gets it and comes back. You usually have your drink within a minute to a minute and a half.

I don't play poker there much, but almost everybody in the poker room is a horrible player. I prefer to play online and a good comparison would be: the players at my local casino's poker room make the 2 cent/4 cent limit players at PokerStars look like poker geniuses.

Familiarity. Sometimes we go once a month, sometimes more than once in a week, but we've been going to the casino for about 15 years and most of the staff there knows my wife and I.

    A) It's a fifteen minute drive - max - from the house. That's good.
    B) There's this one bar, near the main entrance, where we have cocktails and watch the parade of patrons, and as expected, pass judgement on them, listening to live music.
    C) It's a good night out ever so often. There's too few tables for my tastes...I mean, it's Tampa - not Vegas - so I'd like to see a few more $10/$15 tables.
    D) The Hard Rock Cafe for dinner out. Good variety and good food.

No smoking! Each time I play in a non-Vegas casino that is smoke free, I question my loyalty to Vegas.

What do I like? Well every time I drive by it I know I'm only a few minutes from a great meal in Santa Ynez or about 15 minutes from teeing it up at Rancho San Marcos!

That would be a wonderful bit of ambience.

Soda, really Alexander, that's the killer.Try a stiff drink and hit the Black Jack tables.Sorry but water and sugar/caffeine drinks are of no value to me when l am losing my money.Yes l am a sore loser.but l keep that to myself,as l smile leaving the table/machine.Stupid enough to gamble so you get what you deserve.Besides there is nothing on TV to stay home for.

    They are close.
    Some have really great steakhouses.
One way or another, half have some sort of Vegas affiliation so I can keep an account active or earn offers for Vegas through a partner relationship.
Most here are national casino companies, so they offer a standardized and mostly professional experience.
A few have regular lounge acts.
On the Illinois side, they are non smoking.
Most are pretty competitive and they offer tons of promotions like the offstrip casinos in Vegas do. The experience with local casinos here are probably what fuels my interest in offstrip Vegas.

For comparatively little play, I get a monthly $10 food comp.

They also have $5 craps off-peak, $5 blackjack at 3:2, and most of the new games. The buffet is good, the sports bar has great burgers and the steak house is top notch. Even the Asian restaurant (and I am not a fan of most Asian food) has dynamite Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Avocado Bubble Tea.

I love how convenient my local Casino is. I can go straight from work to Casino and then go straight home after Casino. :)

I can enjoy a good cigar with a scotch/rocks at a vp bar . Great lounge acts, compted rooms and it's AC with a lot to choose from . And it's a short ride for us.It's pretty much what we do for fun these days.

Great comps - give-aways, rooms almost any time, some great concerts/shows, restaurant's we enjoy. We often take mini-vacations there to enjoy a good show, a couple of good meals and free room. Sure we gamble our money there, but feel like we get a little something back. And it's a Caesar's property so points are good in Vegas too.
