So my wife and I will be a couple for 25 years (senior prom dates) on Tuesday, so what better way to celebrate than another quick Vegas trip. This is our 13th trip but hoping it will be a lucky one. But, a week ago today, I was working on my car and twisted funny taking off a lug nut. Alas, my sciatic nerve is not in a good place at the moment. Monday, I was seriously thinking of canceling the trip. This sciatica thing is not fun. Luckily it has been improving and the trip is still on. Just going to take it as easy as we can. We usually love walking all over on the Strip but I see many Uber trips in our future this time. Staying at Luxor for the first time so I have a pyramid of my own with the most important item to bring on the top. Flight leaves @ 1:45 Chicago time. Stay tuned for some anniversarial fun for as long as my back/leg holds out. Fingers crossed and more as I have it for lucky #13!
Congrats on 25 years and 13 trips! Looks like a good time is about to be had. I heard royals numb nerve pain…that “pyramid” might help, too.
Landed, got our luggage and checked in super fast. @ 5:00 we were off. Went through Luxor, Excal, & now eating dinner at MGM TAP. Perfect shirt for going through Excalibur. No major wins or losses so far. Did more walking than gambling. Back and leg are good to go for now.
Dinner was delicious @ TAP @ MGM. Wife had the lemon drop while I hit the 8.5% IPA. We headed back to Luxor but the wife is tired. Time for a cigar and some serious gambling.
Sorry, had a little too much fun last night and forgot to post. Slots and VP were a bust but did ok on Shoot to Win. Ubered to Fremont this morning and walking around. Did ok at Circa on the stadium craps. So far bubble craps has been my only winner so I guess I'll stick with that.
Well, the old #13 has been a constant theme on this trip. No luck at all on slots or VP. Have had decent craps runs here and there to stay down only a few hundred. Still having a great time. Decided to come back after lunch downtown yesterday and bask in the sunny goodness at the pool for a while to take a break. Nice and relaxing and helped the sciatica too. Came back to room for an afternoon "nap" and headed out to dinner at Citizens in MB. Good food but didn't take any pictures. Headed out again to make the rounds at Excal & NYNY. Saw a lot of sad Knights fans after the game got out. Had another of Havana's best budget smokes. Then gave the gambling a rest and enjoyed a quiet night back in the room. Nice view of Alegent and MB from the room. Going to head to center strip to some Caesars properties today to use up some freeplay. More as I have it.
Also, just a little morning anniversary present for the wife. The one she wore on our wedding day. Off for some coffee/Gatorade and breakfast.
Just saw the prefight for Canelo vs Munguia fight @ MGM. Also, getting warm out. Gotta stay hydrated.
Sad sight to see on the Tropicana getting ready to be gutted. Anyone know anything on the implosion plans for the towers?
