If you had to choose between CP Palace Premium King and Horseshoe Resort King Executive, pros and cons....important information about choice:
    1. Solo female traveler who usually just sticks with whatever hotel that I am staying at (not much adventuring and if moving between hotels usually by cab)
    2. Tub is important due to hip issue that needs a good soaking after walking
    3. Food not really that important (usually grab and go person)
    4. Play mostly BJ and VP with some minor slot play thrown in
    5. Am playing in the WSOP Colossus event
    6. Going to Garth Brooks concert at CP
    7. Usually have stayed at the Horseshoe and do not really care about "fancy" room as long as clean but thought might branch out

    Thank you!

Much better tubs at CP, imo. Make sure the room you book has one. Augustus, Palace, or Octavius and you should be fine. Octavius is furthest away from everything at CP. Since you’re seeing Garth, CP seems like the best option, depending on where WSOP is at. Have a great trip!

For some reason there are only 1 or 2 working elevators at the Horseshoe during March which ever is more incovient. Never saw a repairman during my month stay.

I feel CP has more security guarding the elevator entrances than Horseshoe, if that is important to you. The hallways at Horseshoe feel much darker than the ones at Caesars.

The only reason to pick Horseshoe is WSOP and cheap eats and staying in same hotel. 1/3/5.

Almost everything else on your list is pretty much CP. 2/6/7.

    4 is even.

    Flip a coin?

My input based on individual questions:
    1) Horseshoe has Paris adjoined to double the options without a Cab/Uber required
    2) Horseshoe Resort Executive has large soaker tub with jets - check options at CP since some rooms are shower only
    3) You said not important so flip a coin
    4) With Paris adjoined you double the options and Table minimums are usually less at Horseshoe
    5) WSOP is at Horseshoe/Paris so no travel needed
    6) If you don't venture much and stay at Horseshoe - this is only one round trip cab/uber for the concert
    7) You already know the layout if you have experience at Horseshoe

And one not mentioned but important to me - CP only has minibars but Horseshoe has usable fridges

    Enjoy your trip!

That is true and I do not drink adult beverages so those drink coupons will be used to precure other options. Yes, I usually am a double deck person and definitely will not be playing at Paris. Thank you!

as a guess based on what you listed I would lean Horseshoe but without knowing you in person its only a guess

    1. Solo female traveler who usually just sticks with whatever hotel that I am staying at (not much adventuring and if moving between hotels usually by cab)
Guessing you don't like lots of walking.. getting from one end of Caesars to the other can feel like walking thru Horseshoe twice and if you get an Octavius room.. you might as well not even be at Caesars in terms of distance to the casino
    2. Tub is important due to hip issue that needs a good soaking after walking
See comment above about Walking.. but both casinos have options for soaking tubs.
    3. Food not really that important (usually grab and go person)
This is mostly a wash.. unless you are using food comps or rewards credits.. For Grab and go options if you are using rewards credits caesars food court is a plus. Horseshoe food court you cant use comps.
    4. Play mostly BJ and VP with some minor slot play thrown in
This will be readily available at both and the rules will be mostly the same.. But.. What level do you play? You will have a much easier time finding lower limits at Horseshoe then at Caesars.. but if you cross $25/hand it should not matter and if you are at the $100 level then this conversation changes even more.
    5. Am playing in the WSOP Colossus event
WSOP is at Horseshoe.. so if you like not moving around much.. that makes this a slamdunk on just stay at Horseshoe
    6. Going to Garth Brooks concert at CP
One way or another you are going to have to go away from the place you are staying.. either for the concert or the poker..
    7. Usually have stayed at the Horseshoe and do not really care about "fancy" room as long as clean but thought might branch out
Familiarity especially when traveling solo can make things much easier

Based on the info you have provided alone.. it seems Horseshoe makes more sense

But more info is needed if you do anything else that is not listed in your list.
Outside of food, gambling and one concert.. we have no idea how you spend the day... Do you go to Spa's, do you like shopping, do you go to other activities like the gym, Mini golf, sports books, etc.

All of these questions can swing the decision heavily and that is just the tip of the iceberg.. Does the type of clientele matter to you, Do you have line skipping status as that matters a lot more at Caesars, Do you want a mini fridge, etc.. the list goes on and on.
I have this conversation with many people who ask me for "Where is best to stay" I usually tell people that without me knowing exactly what they want out of each day of the trip I cant really say.. For example if I was going to "usually stick with whatever hotel I am staying at" I would not be staying on the strip and just uber to the strip if I needed something like a concert.

But the really good news is.. Its Vegas so regardless you should have a good time :)

Lots of good feedback in this here thread! My thoughts in favor of the horseshoe:

    Good
    - Free fridges
    - Short distance to Ellis Island
    - Short distance to booze store/stage door
    - Mediocre/OK gyros at the Istanbul Mediterranean Restaurant
    - I think Ole Red is nearby. Hear good reviews about the food and its a country bar
    - Connected to Paris, which has much better vibes/atmosphere

    Not good
    - I'd never eat the the HS food court. Horrible value. Not with EI so close.
    - Gambling floor is too bright. You can go to Paris

I am really very boring Vegas person...I read all of the wonderful trip reports and live vicariously through them. I usually play six to eight hours a day BJ and sometimes throw in the poker room or VP. I am Diamond Elite and getting ready to be 7* probably next week (need 5000 more points and I usually do that in one session). And yes, the clientele does matter to me...when I first started coming to Vegas I stayed at the Flamingo but did not enjoy the atmosphere and moved over to the Horseshoe. I appreciate all of the wonderful thoughts as I had been waffling but since as you said familiarity makes things much easier, I probably will stay with Horseshoe and just bop over to CP when need to for concert. Thank you!

My vote would be for Caesars Palace. The horseshoe has really gone downhill sadly since it became the horseshoe.homeless baggers , Elevators not working, buttons on slot, machines, and video poker not working, things not cleaned up and so on. It’s too bad because I was a big Bally supporter back in the day. Caesars maintains their much better.

CP has a lot more to offer and safer, and since your stay is most likely comped, why not stay at CP (the more expensive option). They also have 2 Starbucks there for your 4 free drinks per day. Also, no need to walk over to CP for the concert.
Also, as a Diamond Elite the fridge is delivered to your room free of charge.
