Got destroyed on three parlays by Wilder's loss to Parker. Next Vegas boxing trip less than a month away (card at Cosmo Feb 3). Mixing boxing with the Bills: Parlay at +108 1) BUF: Bills-PIT Steelers ML -530 2) Under 9.5 Total Rounds: Beterbiev, Artur - Smith, Callum -134
Monster boxing card for Vegas on March 30: Tim Tszyu vs Keith Thurman Rolando "Rolly" Romero vs Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz (this will be an insane bout for as long as it lasts) Sebastian Fundora vs Serhii Bohachuk Erislandy Lara vs Michael Zerafa Card is at T Mobile Arena.
Action for the Friday ESPN card: -220 parlay 1) Shu Shu Carrington ML over BA Torres, -1667 2) Andres Cortes ML over Bryan Chevalier, -445 3) Guido Vianello ML over Moses Johnson, -770 Want to go with an over on Foster vs Nova but my rotten local has no line. Would also go with Foster ML win. Just added a second parlay: +148 1) Vianello - Johnson, Will not go distance -286 2) Carrington - Torres, Will not go the distance -120
Quinn Martin epilogue: both parlays covered, got back to a c-note and change below my starting position when I got destroyed by the 3 parlays that got KOed by the recent Wilder loss to Parker. Next two live boxing events: Turning Stone March 2 for the Ford fight and Vegas March 30 for the monster T Mobile card I will have access to sports books that have legit boxing lines - unlike my rotten local which had no line on Foster-Nova main event last night. The action I wanted to put down on that bout would have put me back positive of the Wilder losses. However as Hyman says, "This is the business we have chosen .."
Action for this weekend: a) Parlay at -152: Berlanga ML vs McCrory, -480 Cruz ML vs Zamarripa, -3335 Aponte ML vs Fernandez, -770 Kosei ML vs Bacasequa, -560 b) Berlanga by stoppage +112 Really like the Berlanga by stoppage and will hit this one heavy. After starting out with 18 KOs in his first 18 bouts, Berlanga has gone the distance in his last 5 fights (all victories). McCrory is 35 years old and has not faced the level of comp that Berlanga has. Some blogs have been tossing Berlanga's name around as a possible opponent for Canelo in either May or Sept. If just a whisper of that is true, I can see Berlanga's camp wanting to come out really banging and applying pressure against McCrory to erase the calls that Berlanga "let off the gas" in the late rounds of his last five bouts.
Thinking about tailing Berlanga by stoppage If I want to include Japan fights in parlay all I have for a parlay is: Junto Nakatani Kosei Tanaka Aaron Aponte Edgar Berlanga -140
We lost our respective parlays with the Aponte loss by UD to Fernandez (74-78, 75-77 x2). Have now watched that bout three times - I scored it a draw. Berlanga did the thing we wanted him to do - nice double up!
Action for this weekend a +132 parlay with: Zhang vs Parker will not go the distance -167 Vargas vs Ball will go the distance - 225.
Parker beats Zhang on points; Vargas draw with Ball - parlay is a loser. Parker on a roll - beat Wilder and now Zhang - he can survive the power punchers! Former champ now trainer Andy Lee is giving Parker great guidance and strategy.
Forgot to post. Been swamped at work and brain has been fried. Went 5/6 in boxing with a very nice +5 unit profit. Butler/Iglesias ML -106 Butler/Iglesias ML +127 Huni/Chamberlain ML -116 Madrimov/Kurbanov U11 rounds +220 Zhang/Parker U11 rounds -120 - really didn't expect this to go the distance Joshua/Ngannou U8 rounds -125 Should be a light weekend coming up will look at Zepeda/Hughes card but no guarantee's
Lightweights getting active upcoming fights Gervonta Davis vs Frank Martin - June 15 Ryan Garcia vs Devin Haney - April 20 Pitbull Cruz vs Rolly Romero - March 20 Vasiliy Lomachenko vs George Kambosos - May 12 .
Really looking forward to the Cruz vs Romero bout on March 30th. The rest of the card is also great with Thurman, Tszyu, Fundora, Lara and a very exciting fighter that is not as well known as the main guys on the card Kyrone Davis is slated to be on the undercard. Will be in Sec 6, Row G, seat 11 - stop by and say hello if in the house.
I think Fundora will give Tszyu more problems than Thurman would have. Brian Mendoza has now been put in to face Fundora's original opponent Bohachuk - not a bad replacement!
just purchased tix for this. I’ll be in Section 15 across from you. No idea who these peeps are, but haven’t seen boxing in a long time so something to do on a raining day
