Next Vegas vacation, taking a trip and want to take a large pizza for both dinner than breakfast but don't want to pay $50 for one.
Figure on my way out of town I could stop off at a Pizza place for a good meat lovers pizza at a good price.
One way to test the quality of pizza is how it tastes in the morning.

What pizza shops off strip have you found to serve great pizza?

Agree with both. Also, Yukon Pizza needs to be tried out, too!

    Pizza Rock is my favorite…
But the local chain Metro Pizza does a decent pizza at reasonable prices to take out and save for breakfast

It’s a long drive, but our favorite is Martinos. My partner is from NY and has very strong feelings about pizza, so we have tried almost everywhere.

Martinos is the only place I’m allowed to order from.

Sounds just like what I am looking for, but checking the map and its the complete opposite direction I will be heading.
Will be staying at Palazzo and jumping on I-15 so hoping for something not so much out of the way.

Anna Marie's is on Trop and Hualapai and is NY style by NY transplants.

Biaggio's is on 215 and Ft Apache so you can hop on the highway.

Good Pie is on Main St in the Arts District and should be convenient.

This is in the direction I am heading, but previously checked and Evel Pie was pretty expensive if I last recall.

Technically not on the strip but close. Metro Pizza at Ellis Island is a good pizza and not expensive.

Yukon Pizza is a 6 minute Uber from downtown and back towards the strip.

Just make sure the Metro folks actually can reheat the pizza. (In other words, don't go in right before the close when they turn off their ovens.) Otherwise you will have an extremely soggy slice.

BTW - to get more of a NY feel to the Metro Pizza, ask them to make a pizza with less cheese on it. Any pizza pro knows that cheese needs to be balanced equally with the crust and sauce.

@LV_Bound - I forgot to mention .. Yukon pizza is more "artisan" style pizza then getting a 16" to 20" pizza like Metro.
    However.. it's just simply good.

The problem I had with Yukon Pizza wasn't the taste or presentation, but I think it was 14" only. If the OP wanted a "large" one to have for a couple of meals, Yukon wouldn't work.

I didn't think they were even 14". Probably closer to 12.

I haven’t had a chance to try yet, but I’ve been hearing really, really good things about 00 pie and pub - but I think they are more on the fancy pants side.

Chicago Brewing on Rampart/Fort Apache - great deep dish, and good brews.
