Goal for the trip. Have a Woodford old fashioned that isn't tie dye pink like the one I had last trip in Luxor.
Success right off the start. R&R crazy healthy pour so very good.

Ha Ha. My first day I always get stumbling drunk on Manhattans...then, in my old age, I can't drink for the next 2 days. But, I love it, and I'm not going to stop...drop off the bags, down to the casino, drunk on Manhattans while playing vp. Back upstairs to crash. Nirvana.

 

Not on Manhattans, but my first night is usually a cluster. Beers and Gin for me. Tony is used to it by now.

Open workouts for boxing I hadn't realized so that was good to watch. Too long for my knees to stand in the same spot for 2hrs. Enjoyed enough and I consider it a bonus.

Decided to quit being a sad sack and walked to Allegiant stadium for SB media day. Rain had stopped and it was an easy walk.




Blue man group did a bit. Being snarky but can't imagine paying to see them.

$20 for a tall boy ultra yikes. Wait that's 2 beer ok not bad.

So to listen to team interviewd you need an app. While I can hear answers can't exactly hear questions. And no video which would have really helped.
Unless you are a fan of either team and just barely this is kinda a waste of time.

I accomplished exactly what I had hoped.
1. I figured out how to get to stadium from casino.
2. I got to check out Allegiant and get a sense of sight lines.
3. Damn ticket was only $15! Give your head a shake.

Only thing on agenda today is hockey.

So ended up COL/NJD O6.5 and EDM/VGK O6.0 +225

Last night saw lady playing Coin Trio and winning so of course I needed to try.

So the Ma & Pa story.
They are wintering in Arizona.
Canadian law states that if you are out of the country for more than 90 days you lose your health coverage. While you can buy extra insurance to cover past that date it is very expensive and of course based on any health conditions even greater.
For them the extra would've been $2500.
BUT...
Canadian law also states that if you cross the border back into Canada the time resets to 0 and you have another 90 days.
So looking at flights it was significantly cheaper to fly from Vegas back to Calgary in the morning (which resets the clock) then turn around and grab the next flight back to Vegas. They did exactly that yesterday.
Since Pa is 100% comped at NYNY (much to my chagrin) it makes sense for them to stay for 3 days and not worry about driving at night etc. and they get to see me

Since they are leaving back to AZ in the morning they wanted to take me out for my birthday. I jokingly suggested Gallagher's and promptly told where I could stick that suggestion

So off to Nine Fine we go.
