Sunrise over Atlantis resort in Nassau, Bahamas.

Plan for today is sleep late (no breakfast since golf yesterday I’m on a dinner rotation now lol). Prob hit the gym then maybe walk around Nassau a bit. Then hit the adult infinity pool this afternoon. (nicknamed the Adult Infidelity Pool by my British friends :haha::haha::haha:)

Today is 5 weeks since I left home and Day 28 on the ship. Original plan was two more weeks on MSC Seascape before moving over to Emerald Princess for the Southern Caribbean route. But now I will go home to Chicago for Thanksgiving week from Sat 18th- Fri 24th. Initially no one was going back til Wednesday so it was kind of pointless to return but now college kids can do Mon-Wed classes remote that week so everyone going home the 18th now so we can spend the week fighting over Frosty time.

This adventure reads like a Fantasy. It does bring back memories of my first year of marriage; I was enduring a Virginia Beach winter after leaving the SF Bay Area, hated the weather, couldn't understand what people were saying (turned out "Olive White" was really "Isle of Wight"), and could not get used to being called "ma'am" (still not a ma'am, BTW). To top it off, my husband spent three months in St. Croix in the dead of winter. Fortunately, that was in the days before cell phones and texts so I didn't have daily reminders of his deepening tan or the local food and drinking establishments. So I think your wife deserves the "best wife ever" award. Also, it will be a nice Thanksgiving break for you to have that chunk of time with the entire family.

How do you handle the laundry situation? Send it to the cruise laundry? Just curious.

love to read this commentary from someone with a similar experience! Albeit from the other side lol

yep I’ve got woolite for the stuff I don’t trust them with and send a weekly laundry bag thru the ships
Laundry. The golf shirts and shorts are all hand wash so I do that myself and hang to dry on the deck. They’ve been soaked more than after the wash a few times lol. Socks underwear and t shirts and cloth shorts go to their laundry

Purnayasa The Bar Waiter: “Mr BeeeJay what can I bring you on this glorious morning?”

BeerJay: “Well, Purnayasa here's the game plan. You're gonna bring me a double Bacardi Pina colada with a side Myers dark rum floater, you know how I like em, straight up. And then precisely seven and one half minutes after that you're gonna bring me one more. And then one more after that every five minutes until I pass the fuck out”

Purnayasa the Waiter: “Excellent strategy, sir.”

Morning en route to San Juan, Puerto Rico!

    IMG_7764.jpeg

I’ve got a tour booked for today,

    IMG_7774.jpeg

My Boy Cleo grabbed me before I even sat down to get my drink order lol. He quickly focused on “higher priorities” then brought me the wrong drinks and orange juice (which I haven’t had in a month of him serving me) instead of my ice. Lol.

    IMG_7638.jpeg IMG_7773.jpeg

    some crazy pizzas out today

    IMG_7765.jpeg IMG_7766.jpeg

    For @Suekel pre ketchup lol

    IMG_7768.jpeg

the big guy remembered my ice randomly and brought the Diet Coke once his mind cleared from my neighbors stunning beauty I guess hahha
