Title is worded terribly, but I don't think most of our play was rated during our stay. We were in Vegas Sept 26-Oct 5? We didn't play at MGM as much as we normally do. But I think at least a few of the days my wife played enough to get some of the accelerator points.

We think they gave her about 12000 TC during our trip. However, last night playing on BetMGM, she made over 1500 TCs (playing for maybe 2-3 hours at $2-3 per spin). Seems like she has a lot of TC's coming to her (hopefully).

To be transparent, it does look like she was earning Slot and Rewards dollars during the trip.

We wanted to make it back to Platinum this trip, but it didn't happen. Now we will have to make another trip to Detroit or something to try and make it back.

Just curious for those who were there when it happened or a few weeks afterwards if they are starting to see things credited.

I was there September 28 - October 3. My tier credits posted last weekend and the accelerators posted about 2 days ago.

If you saw that you were earning Slot Dollars during play, then you should end up getting (or have already gotten) TCs for that play. Slot Dollars are calculated based on theo, and so are TCs. So if they could calculate Slot Dollars, they can calculate TCs.

If you played during a period where you couldn't tell whether your play was being tracked, then it's totally up in the air. If they weren't tracking it in some fashion, they can't calculate anything. The only possibility in that case is that they come up with something based on your historical average, which personally I doubt they are going to do.

You are only getting credited for the Tier credits because you went to Vegas toward the end of September. In the first few weeks of September, when the breach first happened and they were bleeding crazy money for every day it went on, they swore up and down that people would receive credit for their play, but I didn't believe a word of it, because how could you possibly prove how much money you put into a slot machine (luckily I wasn't there - I had returned from Vegas a couple of weeks before it happened. If I had been there during that time, I would definitely have gambled elsewhere the entire trip). They were saying anything they had to in order to get people into the hotels/casinos.

Sure enough, when the app finally came back to showing Reward credits, a big disclaimer was posted, basically telling everyone who gambled during the period from September 10th to 19th that they are SOL, unless they submitted physical betting receipts. (see attached screen shot)

That message does offer some hope that they are going to do something, it's just hard to know what they can do.

People might have done $20 coin-in or $20,000, so it's hard to see how they right-size any compensation.

I think the fair thing to do for those customers would be to extend whatever tier level they had at the time of their stay/play for another year. As you mentioned, it would be impossible to determine anyone's actual coin-in, but even if they extend the tier level customers would still be losing out on whatever Express Comps they earned during that period (unless MGM decides to gift a token amount of EC's as well).

We were there starting 9/26. Well after the attack, but they were still getting some things up and running. Hoping tiers are extended. We defiantly played less as well, hopefully we won't see a big offer drop compared to what we were comped.

I'm pretty sure my wife was earning the slot dollars and we saw some TCs. But the fact that it looks like she is earning more playing Online than in person seems just crazy.

@Necrochaos what's the point of getting Platinum again? Are you close to geting the $200dining/$600 flight credit or did you want to get a cruise comped? I hope you are heading to Detroit because you really want to go there and not just to try to get Platinum status.

Regarding Detroit-depending on how far you are from platinum you may want to check to see if they do the accelerator. My experience with them is that they typically do not run the same promotions as Vegas. I learned that the hard way one year!

We were at Aria from 9/17-9/20 and have not seen any credit for our play. We did get some tier credits but only about a third of what we normally earn in a three day trip (most likely just got credit for one session on our last day when slots started coming back online.) Our win/loss only shows $900 coin-in and $19 loss for all of Sept. and I know I lost about $1,500 and math/history tells me that equates to at least $20k coin-in so that’s waaaay off. I did get the supplemental email last week thanking us for our stay while everything was down and assurance that some form of “update to rewards” would be coming in the next few weeks. So basically from someone who stayed and played during the affected dates, we have not seen any adjustments for our play while all the machines were offline.

Correct, only Vegas has the accelerator. My wife is currently working about an hour from Detroit. So she could hop over there without too much trouble.

At this point we are trying to decide if it is worth trying to get back to Platinum.
