This post reminded of my last trip in Oct 2021. Nothing I did gambling wise was working out, sigh. The only thing you can try to do is just accumulate small winnings over many sessions and try to make it add up to a sizeable comeback. Don't get greedy. Buy in for $500, color in when you're up $100-$200. Then later on, buy in for your updated bank roll (600 or 700) and color in if you hit $200-$250. Keep repeating. The hardest part of this is walking away with these small wins, especially if you win 3 or 4 bets in a row and your target is already reached in less than 5 mins of play. Bottom line is, do lots of hit and runs.

Sorry for all the losses, but unfortunately, trips like this happen in Vegas. That's why it's gambling. I mostly stay in the sportsbook, make my sports bets, and try to make money that way, since betting some parlays can keep you entertained for hours. I usually only hit the machines and the tables on my last day in Vegas, and if I win, great, but if I lose, then it's not too much damage. I used to arrive in Vegas, lose big right away, start chasing the losses, and it kind of ruins the rest of your trip. This way, it's much more relaxing and enjoyable for me, especially going solo. I hit the pool, have some drinks, relax, make some sports bets, and I have a blast. Last day in town, that's when I take my chances at the slots and tables.
