I'd do a couple nights downtown and a couple nights on the strip. Split it up.

For my 50th, we stayed at Vdara in a Corner Suite with fountain view and loved it! But I’ve been in a friends fountain facing balcony room at Cosmo in both the Boulevard and Chelsea Towers and they are so extra special!
    Cosmo for sure!

Thanks for all of the replies and input. I think I’m going lean towards Cosmo for the balcony. I have been in all of the places that I listed except Circa. I’d love to have a happy hour on the balcony. The idea of splitting it up is a possibility though. Maybe 3 nights at Cosmo then 2 downtown. We’ll see. Thanks again

Thanks for the wish. I think a combo of cosmo and GN would be fun.

I'd split it up, do two DT and two on the Strip!

Ok this thread got me thinking about spoiling myself at the Cosmo with a fountain view terrace room for my birthday this summer and every date I’m trying, they’re all booked! How far in advance do you book?

I just got back from my Paris stay. I walked through the GN with my lovely lady and we were both impressed. I loved seeing the shark tank outside. Cool

I signed up for the rewards card and they already sent me a 20% discount on the stay with like $100 in food credits. I’m going to try to book mid December as soon as I can. I can see why they would be booked through the year. The place was really nice inside.

Any of those and for different reasons.

The Golden Nugget is a more "upscale" option downtown but still has that classic downtown vibe compared to Circa which very much feels like any modern casino built anywhere in the last 10 years.

Cromwell is pretty cool in that the accessibility to the floor and the strip is super fast. Like hotel room to the casino floor in 30 seconds fast and on the strip only a few more seconds more than that. That's kind of a neat feature if you are coming and going a lot. I will say that Cromwell is one of the few new resorts or remodeled resorts of the last 10 years that had some heart put into their design effort. By comparison, I think that RW, Circa, and Linq are all a bit more sterile and uninteresting in their design.

Everyone here gave good advice. What I would say is that if you do split your time save the better resort for last. Going from one place directly to another you will feel the downgrade.

Have a wonderful time wherever you choose and have a great 50th!

This is true. If I have 5 night or more, I like to do 2 downtown and then 3 on the strip with the transition day being an excuse to drive out of town on a day trip to a place like Primm, Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, Mt. Charleston, ect. Makes the trip feel WAY longer.

I've got kids now so I haven't had a trip like that in awhile though. Our longest trips are 3 nights right now.

I would suggest doing either Cosmo for three days and then Wynn for two days. Your lady friend will appreciate it. I don’t think she would prefer downtown.
