Got my first vaccine shot last Monday. Hasn't changed any of my opinions or appendages. So, no side effects. All good.

This is just a work trip but....

I also had my first dose of vaccine this week. My arm was sore for a couple of days, that's it. Can't wait to return to some normalcy.

The 20 pounds I gained since COVID began may actually help me move up the vaccine list.

    Bonus, I guess.

I'm presently booked for the week of March 22, which is my rescheduled December trip. All I'm hoping for is a bump in the capacity restrictions and the elimination of the mandatory reservations.

I feel like I’ve shared this before but maybe not...

I’ve got a kiddo who is high risk. He’s had pneumonia three times in his little life and was hospitalized all three times. His pediatrician has said Covid could be catastrophic for him.

Until I get vaccinated, Vegas is a no go as are many other things. It’s a small price to pay for his health.

Months ago, I was hoping Super Bowl weekend would be a possibility. Then March. Recently, I was hoping late-April, but it’s looking like late summer is more reasonable. The info we’ve gotten from our local health department has said June 1st will likely be the target date to start vaccinating general population. Even if I was one of the first to get the first round of shots, the second round wouldn’t be complete until July 1st and then another 2-3 weeks for immunity to be achieved. So I’ll patiently wait and keep eyes on all the TRs and live vicariously through those.

Booked a flight and hotel for April 15-18. Hoping for some sort of sit down dining. Mostly playing poker which is ongoing, so the gambling won't be an issue.

My sister the caregiver for my mother. How can she become eligible for the vaccine? They live in California.

Depends on the city/county that she lives in and the rules set by their public health department. She will likely qualify, but it's apparently a madhouse trying to sign up for a vaccination.

I just posted a Q&A in the COVID Sticky that had an answer to this question.

You can go to this CDC Webpage: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/index.html

There is a box on there that says "How Do I Get a Vaccine?" Select your state from the drop down and it should take you directly to your state's COVID Vaccine page with all that information.

Now booked for my sixth free stay, no resort fees, at the Wynn through the Wynn app (easily the best discount in the history of Las Vegas) for April 1-5. It's Santa Anita Derby and Final Four weekend. Doubt I will have my vaccination by then, but I just ordered some new Warrior and 49er masks (I'm currently boycotting any Giants stuff). Also hoping to do some hiking at Mt. Charleston, weather permitting.

Already booked and got airline reservations for May 6-12. I've already received the first vaccine and will get the booster next Saturday. I'm locked, cocked, and ready to rock.

At this point I'm hoping to go in the fall. I have no intention of going this spring, and typically summer is a no-go for me.

Got my first vaccine shot on the 9th, getting my second shot this Friday, I'll probably start looking into flights soon. Five comp nights at CET, three at Cosmo will make for a sweet solo trip in March/April!

I will return when I am certain I won't die as a result of my trip.
I just left a 40 year bad marriage.
Dying is not on my agenda.
I want time to enjoy my freedom.

Already booked two months out. Went three times Aug-Nov 2020, but it just started feeling imprudent during surges, and I canceled Dec then Jan trips.

Second shot scheduled in 10 days. Ready to go beginning two weeks after that. Hoping to see some nice offers arrive this weekend or Feb 1... and squeeze in a getaway in one month.
