Thanks for the update. Seems like downtown is more "normal" compared to the strip properties.

I wish I could say that this surprised me, but after working in customer service in some shape or form for the last 30 years...yeah, not so much. The sense of entitlement in some people is strong and very ridiculous.

This pleased me very much. I'm so glad you, a person that took it all in stride, were able to get ahead of the jerks that were making a fuss.
I hope you have a wonderful trip and I'll be following along. Good luck!!

Eh, yes and no. I can see being bummed if your favorite slot is turned off, especially after all this time - but these casinos have large, spacious slot floors, so odds of not finding anything to play are nill. I experienced this last weekend at my local in SoCal - almost every other slot was turned off (depending on how the banks are set up. You basically can't be right next to each other), however the slot floor is very large and there was plenty of variety. I found plenty to play including old loves and new favorites.

Once more places open out there, I'm sure you'll find your favorites again! :) Just maybe not this trip.

Good luck the rest of the way!

I thought I read somewhere that the casinos will turn the machine on for the player upon request...

Regarding slots-did u notice if those on Round carousels are all turned on or is it still every other machine? I’ve seen some local casino’s pictures in various states where round carousels had all machines open.

I too read that somewhere regarding MGM properties high limit rooms-if it’s a person in your party you can request to have side by side machines turned on. Not sure if it would apply to non-high limit slot floors.

Here's one thing that we are experiencing.
I did confirm this as accurate for the high limit room at NYNY. They will turn on a slot if no one is at the next slot, which will be turned off. High limit room only, not the regular floor. I would assume Bellagio and MGM would be similar.

Normal crowd is definitely down. Less than 50% I would say.

Round carousels are all on. The ones that are more of an arc of 3 machines, the middle one is off.

I am so glad you were able to use the bellhop entrance - those people getting angry wasted so much energy! Hope you have a winning trip .. enjoying all of your pictures and details

Pro move on the bellhop door! Thanks so much for the report. I'm not surprised by the drama over the one hour delay.....I travel(ed) for business every week. I learned that people who don't travel much get anxious at the whole airport/luggage/taxi/hotel process since they don't use them often. They become more and more anxious because they don't get to control much of the process. Even tho they have plenty of time, as soon as something goes wrong, they blow. Add COVID to the equation, it escalates. Shame really, it just makes everything harder AND anyone who can't handle the normal process really should just wait.

I'm super jealous of the low crowds!! Enjoy your trip, hope it's a big winner!

At Cosmo the slot setup is really weird. Most of the slots are on with every other chair removed. But sporadic slots are turned off with the chair still in front of them. I'd estimate about 85-90% of the slots are on.

    Table games have no plexiglas.

Drink service is available and plentiful given the low crowd. They come around often.

The hits on slots seem more frequent here than NYNY. Nothing big but maintaining your money here seems to be better. Ups and downs but not huge. NYNY so far has been eating the money.

Joanie (petite, sandy blonde) at NYNY HL bartender/waitress is the best if you’re in need of great drink service. She’s a sweetheart.
