I'm a Wynncore woman but, for the first time ever, I'll be staying during Thanksgiving week in the Wynn Tower Suites (rather than Encore) because starting this coming Monday Encore will be closed each week from Monday afternoon to Thursday at 2 pm. (I would expect, however, that Encore will be open the entire week no later than the week between Christmas and New Years.)

When traveling solo, I have always just requested the standard Encore Tower Suites King Room on a high floor facing the south strip as I just love that view and it never gets old. The nicer suites, such as Parlor and Salon, look amazing but I figured the suites -- though I would LOVE to stay in them -- weren't worth it to me as a solo traveler, especially with my long trips as my back end comps would likely take a big hit. In short, as a solo traveler to Vegas I'd rather get more comps in spa treatments, etc. than eat up my comps in staying in a nicer suite for a week or more.

All that being said, I saw a very informative post from last year, I believe by @Paul K, that detailed all of the features of the various Encore and Wynn resort and Tower Suite rooms. I was thinking about asking my host about the possibility of a Wynn Tower Suites Executive King Room but those rooms apparently only face the golf course and not the strip.

For fellow Wynncore lovers, I'm curious as to your thoughts as to whether I should request the standard King room with my favorite strip view or request a bigger suite for the experience. My trip right now will be about 9 nights; basically the week of Thanksgiving and the weekend prior.

Also, I've used the Wynn RFB lounge but I'm curious if there are any features in the Wynn Tower Suites area about which I should be aware. I certainly will LOVE just being able to take the elevator straight down to Tableau rather than hike over from Encore. And I may see if my favorite masseuse, who works in the Encore Spa, can provide a massage in the Wynn spa.

    TIA!

    The Executive is beautiful.
The double length windowline and jetted tub is worth it like I said before. Worst case, if you don't like it, ask to be downgraded.

Those nicer tower suites (above the Executive King) all have massage rooms, so if you went that route you could arrange to have your masseuse provide a massage in your suite. Something to consider.

The Parlor on the Encore side comes with a massage room but not on the Wynn side. The salons in both have massage rooms.

@Flowers Im not sure you’ll find the value in the Executive Suite since it’s significantly more expensive (looks like for that timeframe you are looking at $350-400 per night) so it will definitely affect your backend comps by quite a bit. It kind of looks like one of the best parts of that suite is his and hers bathrooms (which I’m sure is a significant amount of the square footage gain over the standard Wynn TS King) and with you travelling solo you may find that the value doesn’t match up with how much you lose on the backend. You could also maybe ask your host to set you up with one of the other suites for just a couple nights of your stay and during the week instead of the weekend so the comp rate for the room is lower And see if they would accommodate you. I would recommend the Parlor suite if you’re going to do that maybe instead of the Executive though since it’s a true suite and it’s a 1.5 bath. I haven’t stayed in a Wynn Parlor but have stayed in an Encore Parlor and loved it. My wife prefers the Wynn Salon bathroom over the Encore Parlor bathroom.

I assume its comped. May as well go for the bigger suite. Request, at least, a parlor. The biggest difference between the parlor and the salon suites is the massage table room. The bathrooms are huge in both of them and the view is good, but you can only see so far down the Strip. To the south, Palazzo blocks most of the view. to the north, you can see the RW site and Circus Circus. You do, though, get a great view of the mountains and the sunset. I have always felt a little strange occupying such a large suite when i am solo, but whatever. if they will give it to you, might as well take it.

As for other perks to consider, you obviously know you're right beside Tableau. Also, at the elevators is the tower suites bar, which is a nice place to relax (but be aware that when I was there in August, they were not very strict about mask enforcement or social distancing at that bar if those things matter to you). Between that bar and the tower suites lobby (next to the pool entrance) there are some comfy couches you can also relax on that don't get as busy as the bar area tables. You know you're in the right place if you se the silver "Wynn cat" I took a photo of in my August TR. The entrance to the Tower Suite pools is also right there. I know you're more of a slot player, but if you happen to be interested in high limit BJ or baccarat, there's a quick shortcut to the high limit room at the elevator bank (just turn left if you are facing Tableau). Again, in August, I think that little shortcut corridor was closed off to control traffic better, but it may be open now. You can also use it to walk all the way across the first section of the casino and exit near the far side of the baccarat bar

Thank you both @fugsworth and @Kachow for your comments. @fugsworth, I was very much thinking about how great it would be to have my own massage room though I didn't see one in the Executive King Suite. Normally I would MUCH prefer a massage in the spa but as the water facilities (steam, sauna, spa pools, etc.) are all closed, having a massage in my room would be fantastic.

And @Kachow, what you outlined is exactly my concern. I also looked earlier this evening at the Wynn Parlor Suite and well, I fell in love with a suite . . . LOL. And then I looked at the Encore Parlor Suite, which does have a massage room, and fell even more in love . . . .

I really hate moving but I'm going to think about your idea of splitting up the stay, either with two different rooms in the Wynn Tower Suites or splitting my stay between Wynn Tower and Encore Tower. I looked online, and, not surprisingly, the Encore Tower IS open the WEDNESDAY before Thanksgiving, so I could stay in Wynn for literally half of my trip (Thursday night to Wednesday) and then in Encore for the second half (getting the red eye back home on Sunday night).

Even with how my host hooked me up I was undercomped this past trip, just because there wasn't anything more for him to comp! That explains, I assume, why I'm getting an unprecedented amount of free play for my upcoming trip.

    Hhhhm. Decisions, decisions.

Many thanks for the tips @UKFanatic. I kind of like the idea of experiencing the Wynn Tower Suites (I'm making nice lemonade out of not being able to stay at Encore the entire time) so I'm looking forward to it. As I noted above, I really don't like moving but to be able to experience a Parlor Suite, even if for a few days. I think would be worth it and to treat myself to an in-suite massage.

I'm going to email my host with my dates and see what he thinks. I really like the strip view so I think I will either (1) stay in the Wynn Tower Suites King room the entire time or (2) stay there for the first part of the trip and see if I can swing an Encore Parlor Suite room for the second half. If I am going to move, I might as well enjoy Encore for the second half and, if it's an option, enjoy the Parlor Suites in that tower so I would have a private massage room.

This would not be a regular occurrence but now it feels right. It's a holiday week but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

    Thanks everyone for the advice.

I’ve stayed in the Parlor at Encore twice. You will love it! I hope your host hooks you up! Also something to keep in mind, generally speaking, the room rate for the Parlor on the Encore side runs about the same as the Salon in the Wynn side- so even if they can’t get you into the Encore Parlor, you would still get an even bigger and amazing suite with a massage room if they can hook you up with the Salon and the comp value should be about the same.

Yes, I was looking at the rates to get a sense of the relative comp value and saw that Encore Parlor and Wynn Salon are about the same. Very interesting. The Salon looks amazing but almost too big! But, if it were offered for a few days, I'd take it. :)

Now, if he says "no can do" I'll still share the bad news :(, but fingers crossed. :)

You crack me up @rooster42000. I am totally LOL solo in my apartment. Thanks for that. :)

I just sent him in an email. We shall see! He always reminds me I can get an extra resort room or two for friends and I seldom do that, so with this being a solo trip, maybe we'll be a go.

I may not hear back from him this evening but it's pretty funny that five weeks from today, assuming my plane is on time, that I will be in a car en route to the Wynn Tower Suites! I finally got on the scale this morning as I have been too afraid the past two days to do so. I gained 4 pounds while in Vegas, which is A LOT but actually less than I thought I had done. Hope to take that off and another 6, which is manageable, before my trip. If I'm a go with the upgraded suite I could totally see myself exercising more and eating better. LOL.

Okay, I need to stop working myself up in case the answer is no. Either way, it'll be a great trip. Almost all of my dinner reservations have been made. :)

Go back in next 2 weeks for a weekend and ask your host to tour you through all of your choices.

And write a phenomenal Researching Wynn Tower trip report between massages.

I wish but I'm on the East Coast! But, I am planning to be in my room FIVE weeks from today! :) And though a number of VMBers have stayed in the nicer suites I'll definitely include the room reviews in my TR.

I've got activity planned this trip but nothing too far afield, so I'll have plenty of time to enjoy the room. I'm basically planning to do things I had wanted to do but didn't do during the long trip I just took, e.g., Red Rock, Seven Magic Mountain, Mob Museum, etc.

    Hi Flowers -

So happy you had such an amazing trip! Here are pics from my trip last month in a Wynn Parlor suite.

Looking at the layout, the Tower suites are on the left. At least on this floor, it looks like there are 3 Salon (strip side), 3 Parlor and 1 Executive suite (to the right of the elevators), I think?

    layout.JPG

Personally, I really like the golf course views at Wynn, and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to try something different. You can see the new Event Pavilion and look down to see the pools if you want to know how busy they are.

    view.JPG view2.JPG

Staying in the Parlor suite was awesome, my first and maybe last time doing that. The 'covid' offer from my host was well above my usual offer. I would be really surprised if your host couldn't accommodate your request.

The one thing I really liked about the suite was having a foyer/powder room/bar area, right when you entered, that I used when I came up from the casino to wash my hands and set things down. It made the rest of the suite feel like my 'covid free' zone. I also liked having an empty refrigerator in the room, in addition to the mini bar, to keep things cold. If I had to find a negative to the suite, it would be that it does not have a regular table with chairs. For in room dining, you can either eat at the desk or they will roll in a table that you can sit at.

The Encore Parlor and Salon suites look wonderful! I know you'll love staying there if that's where you end up part of your stay. You'll be back in Vegas before you know it!!

OMG @NickyJ, the suite looks awesome and so ELEGANT!! The pictures are so much better than some that I've seen online, including on the Wynn website! Thanks so much for sharing.

The view IS gorgeous. I think it's something though about seeing the colored strip lights at night that is just the constant reminder for me of Vegas, but that suite is so awesome I would indeed enjoy it, regardless of the view.

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

@Flowers, glad to hear you're going back for another dose at Thanksgiving. :):):) Have a great time!!!

I can't speak about the Parlor or Salon suites, I've only stayed in a King Room in the Wynn Tower Suites. However, I wouldn't completely give up on the golf course view. I recently stayed in one and I wholeheartedly enjoyed it. Here's my view from the 56th floor from a couple of weeks ago.

    IMG_6318.jpeg

    IMG_6122.jpeg

The other GREAT thing about this view, although it won't be too important during the time you're going, is that you can look straight down to see how crowded the pool is. Another thing, and you can't make it out too clearly in the below pic, is that I could look down and see how many umbrellas were not being used. This was HUGE for me as I was out at the pool for anywhere between 3-5 hours each day and I wanted to stay completely in the shade. If the pool was busy, or the umbrellas were in use, I'd wait. Otherwise, I got down there and had absolutely no problems finding a lounger and getting an umbrella. This was extremely handy. I'll opt for this view on future trips during "swim season".

    IMG_6032.jpeg

Granted, its not the fabulous strip view, but I found it a nice change of pace and it just gave me an extra push to get out and about at night to get a little neon in.

(Before my trip I did a little research and took a peek at the angle that Wynn faces the strip on Google Earth. The Tower Suites are at the far left end in the picture below and the view just seemed a little off, definitely not as good as it is from the Encore Tower Suites, which are located on the far right on the Encore tower. ***Disclaimer - I have never been in one of the strip view rooms in the Wynn Tower Suites so I really can't speak with any authority on the actual view, but Google Earth kind of makes it look like TI and Mirage are viewable but not a whole lot more on the West side of the strip. The view of the East side of the strip looks better though. If my assumptions are incorrect then I stand corrected***)

    IMG_0396.png

There are a lot of people here on VMB that can give better detailed information than what I have experienced but just thought I'd throw in my two cents for those who might be considering the Tower Suites at Wynn/Encore.

I have some more pics of my view in my recent TR. Not sure which pages they're on, but figured I'd post it with the thought it might be helpful.

Thanks so much @MikeOPensacola. Yeah, it sounds like from @UKFanatic and others that the south strip view from Wynn is not as good as the south strip view from Encore. Pretty much the only building that partially blocks the view from Encore is actually Wynn, but I can still see pretty far down the strip, to about Caesars.

I love that shot at night with the moon in the background and the Pavilion, which is actually where the comedy show took place last week. I didn't even know that area existed, which greatly expands the Wynn convention space. It is BEAUTIFUL.

We are staying at the Wynn for a second time in early November. Flower’s and Mike’s reports have been very illuminating. This is a basic question but are the Tower rooms/ suites in their own wing? Is access to these rooms limited to those staying in the Tower suites? I know there is a separate elevators.

here’s a couple photos of the view from a Wynn Salon suite. I don’t remember which floor we were on but I think maybe halfway or a little higher up the building. The view from Encore Tower King suites down the strip is definitely better if you’re looking to take in the whole strip view. From our room, Pallazo really dominated the view of the strip. One thing to keep in mind with the Encore Parlors is that they are on the north side of the Encore building so the view is of The STRAT , etc towards downtown.

they are segregated on one side of the building on the Wynn side and on the Encore side. On the Wynn side they are on the end that’s farther from Las Vegas Blvd and on Encore side they are on the end that is closer to LVB. The only thing separating them on each floor is a door though. Yes access to the Tower Suites elevators is essentially limited to those with Tower Suites room keys and you generally aren’t going to see people wandering down the halls from the non-TS parts of the floor. It does have a feeling of exclusivity.
