I download several podcasts though may only listen to a few episodes. Depends on my mood. Generally I just walk around the house with my iPhone listening to anything while doing chores.

    S-Town was the first.
I have a couple of hundred episodes of Under the Influence from CBC radio. For some reason, I never thought of them as podcasts.
When I eye surgery & had to be face down 24 hrs per day for many days, I found podcasts. Anything to keep my mind less active.
    Marc Maron
    Adam Corolla
    Penn’s Sunday School
    Piff
    Conan
    Meditation Oasis
    Joe Rogan
    Dax Shepard

I am not enjoying many of the more established podcasts about Las Vegas, but this one is excellent (not all Vegas, but many great interviews with leaders in Vegas): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-guest-list-las-vegas/id1508044547
Jake is an excellent interviewer, does not waste time and is well prepared for these in-depth interviews. Check out episodes 52 and 54 (Mike Thomas and Jonathan Jossel).

I’ve got several that I love:

The Adam Carolla Show- it’s not as good as it used to be but still pretty entertaining and when Adam gets started on a rant, he’s one of the best. Just be prepared to put it on 2x speed some of the time.

Timesuck- Comedian Dan Cummins takes topics such as serial killers, legends, myths, etc...and breaks them down in a highly unique way combining humor and history. I can’t get enough and frequently will grab an old episode to fill the void between weekly uploads.

Is We Dumb- Another Dan Cummins effort along with his friend Joe Paisley. They find bizarre stories online and riff on them. They have a cast of recurring characters and themes they bring back to make the stories even...dumber? One Star Reviews are hilarious.

Bill Burr’s Monday Morning Podcast- another guy who specializes in rants. If you like his comedy, you’ll love the podcast. Cool to hear a celebrity talk about his football card collection and watching motorcross.

Anytime I see someone mention the World Wildlife Fund, it reminds me of the story of why World Wrestling Federation changed its name to World Wrestling Entertainment.
A big wig for the World Wildlife Fund was being introduced to individuals.
One individual said to the the big wig for the World Wildlife Fund: It's nice to meet you. Where are the wrestlers?
Vince McMahon told that story when he was on a cable network why WWF changed to WWE.

We drive a lot back and forth from NJ to WV. We listen to "The Skeptics Guide to the Universe" and Kathy Madigan's "pubcast"

I'm a history buff, so these may seem really boring. All are free except where noted.

Fall of Civilizations - only about a dozen of them, but detailed and educational. Great English voice that is perfect for relaxing before bedtime. Each is pretty lengthy.
History Unplugged - tons of topics of varying lengths and quality.
Stuff You Missed in History Class - fairly short podcasts (usually under 20 minutes), often on historical oddities.
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - some episodes aren't free, but enough are to make this worthwhile. Well researched, in depth.
The HIstory of the Mongols - an excellent 14 (or so) episode series on one of history's most amazing empires.
