Only been there once, but we loved St. Augustine. Have fun.

P.S. We have that exact blanket. Not kidding.

My neighbor is moving this week. He plans to pack his entire 1700sq/ft house in one 'Pod'.

The Indian blankets are for mid-day naps. In reality Kim will turn on cops and go to sleep. I lay on the bed and watch cops. I can't nap with the TV on.

Cigars will be smoked this trip!

Ty, have a great trip! Years ago when I was in the Navy, I was stationed just north of St. Augustine in Jacksonville. On my weekends off I often drove down to St. Augustine to enjoy all it has to offer. It's a beautiful city. I love it there. I am looking forward to your report.

Thank you, sir. It's usually about 4.5 hours to get there. It's just a matter of doing it. My first trip was in 1981, it was me and my Mom, I drove us on my learners license. In 1988 Kim and I stopped there on our honeymoon. Now my eyes are watering.

I have some old post cards I bought on eBay. The post cards are from someone in the military taking a bus to St Augustine and barely making it back to port in time. It was a series of post cards, I have about 9 of 10. Thanks for your interest.

Quick story ... we were at A1A Ale Works one evening nearing sunset, upstairs on the balcony. BOOM. Shuttle launch just down the coast. We saw a lot of launches from Vandenberg the eight years we lived on the coast but even from that far away a shuttle launch is (was) something else.

Hey TY, having lived in Mid GA for 40 years we used to go to St. Augustine many many times. Also loved Jacksonville beach and the dog races.
always enjoy reading your TRs as we havw don e or are enjoying doing again with you. If the Cuban village is still there enjoy some great food.

We have been to A1A a few times, no launches for us. Sounds cool.

We've spent several evenings at the Orange Park drinking and eating the seafood buffet. I called the hotel next door on our first trip to Orange Park and asked if it was close enough to walk. She said, "You can walk, stumble, or crawl here from the dog track." I booked immediately.

Sounds like a great trip planned. You have some outstanding dining reservations made. Plenty to do and see in St Augustine.

    I’m following along.

We really enjoyed St. Augustine the one day we visited on a FL. trip many years ago. Hoping you’ll show some really great places around there and give us incentive to return. Have fun!

Safe travels and enjoy. I'm looking forward to your review of Columbia - we are going to the one in Sarasota next weekend, I've heard it's very good.
