    My Trip Report

Well it’s Oaks Day and Derby tomorrow with no spectators :( here in the Ville!! Soooo- last minute decision to stay at my local. Girls night tonight with one of my besties and then hanging with the hubs tomorrow. Not a lot of dinner options or things to do. I plan on making some bets today, maybe hitting up the spa, lots of slot play and drinking with my girl later. Saturday- Me and the Hubs have dinner reservations at Binions. He has a tee time for golf on Sunday at Cherokee Run (Horseshoe ’s partnered course). Wish me luck! :woot:

Good luck!!! I've always considered a weekend trip down to that property (I'm about 2.5 hours away in Dayton), but I always end up opting for the 5 hour flight to Vegas. Will be following and cheering you on.

First drinks of the day! Pomegranate Mimosas and don’t judge I know what time it is but it’s Oaks here :headbang: 42FCE487-E3AB-447F-8EAC-CB73423578D7.jpeg

You're at a casino, you're awake. If you weren't drinking THEN I would judge you. Only added that it's Oaks day - I'm betting remotely. Wish I would have had the foresight to take a day off work and go bet the races at a casino.

    Enjoy and good luck!

Have a great trip! Will be watching this as I'm interested to see if more food choices are available on the weekend, and how busy it is. I usually go during the week, just because I'm not fond of crowds. LOL

My gf and I are staying there for 4 nights next week --cannot get her on plane to vegas during COVID =( -----would love to read all of your feedback on the rooms, pool, slots (any old ones?), and esp dining. I know dining is at a minimum but peeped out some good places in New Albany to try 15 mins away----any and all feedback would be appreciated. Enjoy your trip and win $$$$$$$$$

But I did hit the casino briefly and a few more drinks to make playing in the dirt more bearable. 8EF1CAE7-2BC0-43ED-AEC5-BB8C9F196A24.jpeg

My wife and I stayed here for two nights a couple weekends ago. The last time we stayed there was maybe four or five years ago when it was still a riverboat. Our room was nice. Better than I remember. No coffee pots in the rooms but they have free coffee in the lobby cafe for hotel guests. We didn't use the pool. They have a great selection of slots including quite a few older ones. We don't normally gamble away from Vegas because none of the local casinos have that Vegas feel, but this one was as Vegasy as we've seen.

So in the back of the casino is the “food court”. To be honest there is no rhyme or reason to their hours of operation or when one will be open and the other closed. If your lucky you’ll be able to choose from either “ The Grill”, “Homestyle”, or the “Pizzeria”. Post-Covid the Cantina, and the Sushi places have yet to re-open. In my opinion the Aroma Cafe in the Hotel Lobby has the best food. Even though they have some of the same selections it’s prepared better. Lastly, Mon-Friday Seven * can eat at the food court with a guest for free until 3pm. Unfortunately they are not doing any perks for Seven Stars/Diamond guests with the Lounge being closed. Seven * guests staying at the hotel also receive: 6 complimentary drinks sent to the room daily (soft drinks/juices), and 1 complimentary movie rental daily. Room service is also available.

@mdm4sfest is there any particular slots your looking for? They do have a good selection of older ones. Honestly I’m always whining that they need to update some. Let me know if there’s any faves your looking for and I can let you know if I’ve seen them!

When I was there mid week only the Grill was open and the Cafe. The food was just decent at the Grill. I did eat at the Mexican place before shut down and it was pretty good!

Hope you’re able to keep up a winning trip! This is the closest local to me (at just over 2 hours away), and would like to know how crowded the place is, and how packed their table games are? I realize it’s a holiday weekend so expecting more of a crowd than usual but will give me an idea of when I might try my luck with a day trip.

@PressThe5n9 what do you play and I’ll let you know what I find out! I don’t play tables at all but my husband plays BJ. The only thing I constantly see people waiting to play is roulette. Otherwise it seems like there are available tables. If you play craps I’ll have to do a little investigating.

I thought I was doing ok...got up and headed over to the casino to do a little play while it’s less crowded but then that ugly hangover reared it’s ugly head and now I’m back in the room with my Gatorade and ibuprofen  But...before I had to call it quits this happened! Oops I did it again :wiggle:and on the same machine, and a nice run on Super Free Games!

If you don't mind checking out the craps tables I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for that! I’m mostly a craps player. I’m trying to learn the basics of roulette.
