    My Trip Report

I did a quick 2 night trip to Caesars Southern Indiana this week for a little post birthday get away. Sadly, it was a mostly losing trip. Even hitting a Royal only delayed the eventual loses. But it was a fun trip and a great dinner at Jack Binions Steakhouse.

The hotel there is decent, but starting to show some age. The room was comfortable and they do have a fridge and coffee maker, which is a plus. Two small issues when I checked in.

Not sure what was going on here. Looks like maybe someone was smoking and wanted to cover it up? I saw housekeeping in the hall and mentioned it to her, so she cleaned it up.

And then this looks to me like a cigarette burn, even though this is a non smoking room.

    Gambling
As I mentioned, gambling was horrible. Couldn't find a hand on Mississippi. Even blackjack was just lose, lose. I had maybe 2 decent hands on VP, a Royal and decent quad with a kicker. Slots were a few small bonuses. In the end, I lost my full budget. But I've had a few really good trips recently, so variance was bound to get me eventually!

    Dinner at Jack Binions

I had eaten there once before, probably 4 years ago. And the food was just as good as back then! They had a special that night with an 8 oz filet, shrimp, glazed carrots and mashed potatoes. So I went with that and started with the french onion soup, and a glass of wine. And it came with a delicious bread at no charge!

The filet was awesome! Melted in your mouth. The french onion soup was in my top 5 of french onion soups. The only thing lacking a bit were the mashed potatoes. Not a whole lot of flavor, pretty bland. But a great meal overall! I wanted to have dessert but was just too full. The service was good, but not as great as I remember. But I feel like that is probably due to staffing issues that seem to be everywhere. And even though I only had a $25 food comp with my room, I just asked if a host would look at my play, and they comped the full meal. So that was a plus!

All in all it was a losing but enjoyable trip!

While I have never used TP to cover a vent, I have used paper and card board to limit or redirect the air from a vent, especially if it was directed right at the bed and was close to the bed.

I have yet to visit since they opened the new casino down there. I have never done any good gambling there, but always enjoyed it. It's never good when you hit a RF and you still lose your bankroll!

My last few trips there were pretty good, so I can't complain too much. Their video payables are basic Caesar tables, but at least they have 3/2 blackjack at a $15 minimum.

Nice 3 card draw on the royal! But bummer that was the biggest thing.

We stayed there a night once during the REAL "Race to Rewards" in 2012 before driving to Metropolis and Tunica the next day, lol. Was much nicer when they had 9/6 Jacks for quarters. Hit nickel dueces on STP that night too, highest Deuces STP paytable I ever played on at the nickel level (97.85%).

Sadly, even in the high limit room at a $5 VP machine, you still don't get the best payables. Darn CET.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. Just means CZR owes you on your next vegas trip.

I hope i can read in the paper on the next trip out to Vegas. Title will say. “Woman wins big in the no no game”. Or as the LVRJ would say on MS stud at ( i will let you fill in the CZR hotel / casino)

    Thanks for the report.
Curious if they cleaned out your RCs before the comps?

Thank you for reporting! We used to love going there and haven't been since it changed to a land casino.
When does it change hands? It was sold right?

They did not! I made sure to check on that and was pleasantly surprised.

I'm not sure exactly when that happens, but it will stay as a Caesars Rewards property so I don't think a lot will change. I hope they start opening a few more if the food options in the food court.
