:eek:that Ace on the double is the story of my life. :kill:
    yet sometimes, everything works out.
shoutout my trucker homie and his lady that came in to go hard and blow off some steam for one night only, then, getting back on the road. IIRC supply chain issues will remain tight for quite some time.

my new answer to pit sweat is I understand it's not personal, just business.
IME SP & Cal/MSS once, but that guy was table maxing while I was rolling, are vying for top 2 on sweating winning rolls with the hit the wall shit, ymmv. I think I confirmed this twice, someone told a story of getting the you've had two warnings, stuck like 27 something rolls after, then got booted first time both dice didn't make the wall. not positive where he said it was at, pretty sure it was also SP, but sometimes, it just be like that. :thumbsdown:Sweaty.

We parted on friendly ways with the $30 pitcomp that I made sure to maximize, if it was the last thing I was going to do.
It was the least he could do.
standing your ground in a losing battle in an antagonistic fashion is not going to win you much.

what shook me was after the 2nd warning, and the third die an inch short of the wall, the dealer was pressuring me on taking odds or something, I'm asking, well, do I get to roll?, took them, and was shocked that I was still rolling.. I vow to pull everything down next time, like I did once before, and start chucking the dice all goofy next time that happens.. I was also solo at the table a few times and tried, and landed all kinds of goofy styles like the overhand flip and super high arc.. that one got some dealer wows. and like @44inarow schooled me, often worked as well or better than my setting "nonsense". Some tables appreciate the effort though, - insert book quote-, I will also ashamedly admit he caught me putting place bet size bets as odds bets on pass line bets, I'm trying to transition to place bets to keep the landing zone clear but was my first session and I like to ease into them with place & comes. Good looking out, @44inarow, I'm even more ashamed I tried to correct you. In my defense I had been drinking pretty hard since we had just got in and had an Oyster bar food high as well.

    final shoutouts
    • @Sonya for the board and all she does.
    • @vegas superfan akaiputmylifeonashelf for inspiring me to try to write better.
    • I enjoy your travelling blogs, it's the funniest the more miserable you are, but you deserve trips that are a little easier... unless that's what you're into...
I do get the urge to challenge yourself, that's like me being outgoing.
Kind of my AD Vegas persona and definitely not the old me. . .
. . .but the old me died last year. I'm a tiger this year..

Life is too short, and I'm getting too old for this.

    • and omg, can't forget @Chuck2009x
    • I've learned an awful lot about the Comp chasing game from you, :nworthy:

    on bankrolls,
for a second while we were both catching a beating our last (extended) night, we were considering calling it, and going to go see a movie at SP, maybe Spider man, plan was to do a scan of the floor, and if it was packed and crazy * - it turned out it wasn't, maybe go watch the movie, call it an early night, then get up early to drive home at the crack of dawn..

Before we even went down we both looked at each other, thought about how we would play after, then be up all night, and reached the obvious degen conclusion: Hell naw!- no movie, just gamble, go hard, see what happens and try to get to bed at a decent hour.

When it didn't start out great for me, I took a walk up to check it out, prices were $11-12, we were motivated to go because its $4 on tuesdays, but it wasn't a tuesday and last showing was Scream at 11:00pm. One of these days we're going to go do that.

to my point if you aren't willing to dump your entire BR gambling (though I do appreciate extra wiggle room on top), your BR is not a true BR and too high.

Floor was not packed and she went at it for hours, passing her BR to me when it wasn't fun anymore (chasing $300 into .50 VP w/o a single 4oak, but getting drunk which I'm convinced is part of not playing with scared money), and I played it through the night, probably turned out almost dead even or mildly plusish after 6+ hours, and brought it home.

About to spend it on Amazon soon because that's what I do.. it's amazing what goods and services you can actually get for money, lol,

did the same thing in the bowling alley, grabbing some crudite, pizza, and krispy kreme donuts for a snack on the way to the room, dropped a wild $1.25 into a vending machine three times, and it paid in Candy every time!:D
I would have kept playing but I spent all my ones and didn't want 3.75 in quarters.

IMHO you need to reground yourself once in a while in Vegas, and especially after to the actual value of money.
We hit the gift shop on the way out, bought a bunch of stuff, used the $10 off coupon, burned all our points, and got some gifts for our friends and some goofy rings for ourselves, when we left I think we probably re-earned the $40 in points we spent- there was a promo wheel spin thing that gave points or FP.

P will probably be telling me for the next week not to tip everyone I see..
    but hmmm.. I dunno.
    :D errybody still gotta eat.

Left end when looking at the bar.

MSS seems to be pretty quick to run off folks that don't have any business in there. I'm sure the small footprint helps.

They do, but there's kind of a feel about the edges, like the dream card machines, or the other side by check in, that makes you sort of want to be in the middle, imo, even more for solo females,
Just because the layout and the doors, they can be quick, but only so quick.
Same like Joes seat is closest to the door, but it's also where you can chat w. the waitresses.

but yes, MSS/Cal security, they're really personable and on it, though the border may be a bit more penetrable than GG or Circa.
Hassle for some, better for others. We like the ID check when escaping weekend Fremont hordes.

Bartender (name will come back to me) didn't remember @Joe, he was the one w. the accent and not perfect english,
probably only because @Joe hasn't been there recently. or is his name not Joe?

    and, perfect segue,
the share the change TITO trend may be catching on already, pay it forwards everybody, it's lovely.

maybe I need a purple watch, and I actually have my eye on one.
or yellow or brown? Actually gifted a friend the same in orange. Maybe I should borrow it.

If you're wondering the 3 bucks is for cashier tip. That was whole trip minimum tip, though mostly 5.

:hmmm:perhaps my expertly stacked color out?

I wish I could say it was intentional,
    maybe it was subconscious?
    :kill:
I'll have to check my notes, it very well may have been for a certain blockhead pitboss to suck.
The timestamp seems to jibe with breakfast for 3.
yeah, so that was for the second sweaty, but slightly nicer than first (blockhead) sweaty South Point Boxman/pit boss that really hates when players win.

I vow to never ever ever play at a table he is at ever again, it is a guaranteed unpleasant experience, he obviously hates his job, and really should consider doing something that makes him happy with his time left here on earth.

(in his defense, it's probably a living and he probably has to deal with the most terrible drunken idiots all day every day, it's not personal, it's business, but I would like to give him a trophy for rudest worst ever customer service in Vegas I have ever experienced.. hmm. I could actually have that made, and I bet he would laugh when I gave it to him, and we could be friends, nvm still never gonna play at his table)

Nice eye, wasn't intentional, didn't see it, yet oddly poetic.

    (mini super craps rant)
to recap I had the hard warnings and missed the third strike on hitting the wall perfectly w. both dice, dealer starts pressing me on whether or not to take odds on a point, I'm asking, well, that depends on whether I get the next roll or not, put them on, roll again, and they've succeeded in breaking my concentration and rythym, and all the hard pressed numbers go down. this has happened many times before. what I've learned is they try to create a sense of urgency and pressure, or anything to break the pace or concentration of the flow that has been happening.. I currently think the best move is pull all heavy pressed bets down, but you also kind of want to "show them" and thow that point in their face... if so, I would advise realizing you can throw when you want to throw, and taking some deep breaths, and trying to not think about all the pressure and any anger within you... so yeah, I say pull em and rebuild.

IDK if anyone has heard GWAE on the RTW tables, but even they are getting sweaty, and it happened to me at Cosmo, wouldn't think it would happen on a machine, but it suddenly had a "malfunction", and after 10+ minutes, they started putting all this pressure on me that I had to resolve the current roll before it could "reboot"... It was this false sense of urgency in hindsight that just made me chuck em to help them ASAP. again, I should have just pulled every bet I could and left. and I'd advise any of you lucky enough to be in a long roll and start getting sweated to do the same.. this is most likely when there is a lot of your money out there pressed up. jmho ymmv

TLDL: the podcast was saying they are worried about people sliding the dice, some places are not allowing people to play at what would be stick L &R 1, (;)it is awful close to the wall) and they call pitbosses when rolls exceed 20. and I think they may be getting taken out of some places, maybe even possibly being replaced with real tables, :nworthy:praise the lord.

I had done the same thing a few minutes earlier!
This isn't the first time I've run into those at South Point. I really don't get it. As long as there's not obvious cheating involved, then sometimes people win, it's neither his money nor his job to care. There was also that really, really grumpy guy next to me when we bought in, who kept getting more and more mad whenever anyone else joined the table, even if he wasn't rolling and there wasn't a point set.

I finally learned, a very similar, if not same guy showed up mid hot roll, maybe had chips, maybe bought it, I could feel his saltiness, of course the rythym is broken and shooter 7s out,
I color up immediately, thanks, bye,
I could smell the no fun coming.

I'm getting a new appreciation for the relaxed conversational pace of low limit BJ lately,
I think that's actually where I headed after that,
I was learning about quarter horses and North Dakota and having a great time drinking with everyone friendly heckling the dealer at a $10 table, can't beat that. on top of that, the tall blonde russian pitboss was super friendly and congenial, shout out [?] from Ukraine ?

(aside, I take notes, I never was good w. names and faces, but I'm getting better), the horse guys were heckling me about it, I honestly said its so in the end I know where the hell all my money went, then it became jokes about me writing the great american novel, then jokes about chapter 2 - our winning streak, and chapter 3- the flip side, which we hoped would be short, then horse race jokes, like winning or losing "by a nose", or "photo finish", yeah, I need to play more low stakes blackjack, it's hella fun. Craps at it's best can be hella more fun but never w a salty ass crew. F that, just walk.

Then I was practically Yoda to some local 21 year olds that never could get the nerve to hit bust hands against a 10 up.. baby steps.. . didn't quite convert them but we all lasted a long ass time, especially this one guy that was always on the verge of getting felted and borrowing 10s from his buddies, yet lasted prob an hour and came out up.. its all on your bankroll but it hurt watching them not double 11s and win.

I was so proud when young padawan finally had the nerve to hit to a 21.

I was anchor and held it down.
    lesseee.. yeah those 3
    594.JPG
the strategy card is down there, that's my soft out when I look it up and say "if you want to know, the books says", then its not my fault, it's the cards.

    It's always the cards fault.

    Never the dealer.

salty ass no fun dealer, that's their fault,
    staying, that's yours.
    just walk.
walk it off and find new fun.

This has been a great report.

Loved the composition with several of your photos. Reminds me once again to slow down and find that moment during my own trips.

Enjoyed the part about paying it forward with the 2 folks who had hit a hard spot.

Agree with you about the conversational aspect of low limit games, especially BJ. That's part of why I enjoy those Bubble Crap machines. Buy in and chat with those in the round. Had a fantastic time doing that during the Super Bowl a few years ago.

Thanks for the TR. @AyDee, I see you reference these ubiquitous notes often, and I see them occasionally in your photos. Do you mind if I ask what the impetus or utility behind them is? I know some people track coin in/out, but the notes I’ve seen in your photos, and perhaps my vision is just trash, but they seem to pertain more toward anecdotes? I saw one of how you didn’t hit the back wall or something tantamount during craps? Lol

I’m not a craps player, but I would surmise that happens time to time for everyone and I can’t imagine the casinos will summarily eject you for it, unless the person is being an asshole or causing a problem (and you seem friendly so I can’t imagine that’s the case).

They won't eject you, they just will force a pass of the dice out of your hands.
you can still bet but they will not let you roll the dice that night again, and I have heard of people being permanently barred (from ONE casinos, allegedly) for winning too much.
of course :rolleyes2: because you didn't hit the wall by a bit 3 times,
obviously not because you are a skilled roller that is winning the table tons of money at the casinos expense.

IME generally when they get on your case about that, then 4 suits come to the table and all glare at you, that is enough to get the job done and break your stride..
(*cue that song that should pop into your head then).

You wouldn't think it, but it's quite a psychological game in many ways.
I think you lose when you try to play and go hard with aggression, like I have a few times, that "F U, I'll show you F'ers" thing with your blood boiling,

Relaxed rolling is the best rolling..
I had crushed end of last trip at the very same SP table, I remember I was just blocking everything external, had a rhythm, players were good (bet tempo), didn't have any dickhead boxman sweating me, and it all was peak.

    Can't win em all
& inb4 someone says dice are all random and this is nonsense, sure, I know it's all nonsense, but it's fun.
shoutout @icopus, a don't bettor would have cleaned up during that session.

there's a lot of buyin/ cash out notes, mostly was the impetus,
like my joke when people ask me about it, it's honestly so at the end of the trip, I can remember where the hell all my money went.
but the color, names, and details of the stories is the real value I've found, and also the answer to that question of utility.
seriously, the way I run, the whole trip just blurs into a long, colorful, sensuous night,
same with the watch pictures, and wearing different ones, it's so I can tell what the hell time & day it was.
In a week, without all that, and writing these TRs, I couldn't tell you what in the damn hell happened.
If you couldn't tell, I'm also always usually very drunk through the whole trip.

but now that I think about it, there are some very incredible stories that should be a book.
Did you catch the one about me in an almost entirely empty casino suddenly meeting two Binions Cowgirl craps dealers, it's in one of my TRs somewhere.
I forgot their names but I could look them up.
    * not entirely empty, there was an old guy in a wheelchair that had bummed a smoke off me the night before.

I don't reference them much later, but I like that I could,
They also help me summarize them into a TR for all of youse entertainment and edification.

Aren’t these double down hands against a dealer 4? Sorry if that was the point your trying to make here?

Makes sense, admittedly I had thought the watch pictures for several years was some sort of implicit humble brag until I think you mentioned it prior RE the time stamping. I don’t know a ton about watches, so admittedly I don’t know what’s a good from a great one (I have one TAG that I hope lasts a while and that’s about it, but I have no idea about Seikos or Citizens which I believe you have) but that makes sense.

I have read your TRs prior so I probably saw something about what you referenced. I appreciate that you include photos, which I think pretty uniformly most people like here as it’s nice to paint the scene. Not to denigrate non-photo TRs as those are great too, but it’s nice to see them when you can’t be there.

Admittedly, I do find myself rereading your TRs a few times as I usually get thrown by the italics and bold whereupon it feels like some Shawshank Redemption Morgan Freeman self-narration, and the ancillary sidebar about tipping lol.

Either way, if you’re having fun that’s what ultimately matters and it looks like you enjoyed your trip so glad you had a chance to take a break and decompress. Thanks for taking us all along as always.
