    From LVA news:

“The iconic sign from the dearly departed Moulin Rouge Casino has been successfully restored and illuminated in the Neon Museum's Boneyard. The restoration required 300 hours and more than 800 feet of neon tubing; each letter weighs as much as 1,200 pounds. The Moulin Rouge, Las Vegas' first desegregated casino, operated in Las Vegas' Westside neighborhood for only five months, from May to October 1955, but its impact on Las Vegas lives on to this day. Now, its name, and what it represents of Las Vegas history, will be long remembered in lights.”

First time we saw the sign it was pretty much a jumble of pieces at the original neon boneyard site. Definitely gonna check it out on our next trip...

Yep. A while ago they allowed you to bring cameras, but apparently too many folks ignored the rule against commercial use of photos. We took some nice black and white pics during our first visit many years ago.

I will be visiting next Tuesday. I can't wait to see it!!

No regular cameras are allowed but phone cameras are 100% okay. I'll need to practice shooting at night so I can get a good photo on the tour before the Brilliant show.

@mescalita black and white photography is my favorite! Long ago, I mean long ago, I took photography in high school. The contrasts and shadings that could be accomplished with b&w 's were always impressive. If you have any pictures to share please do. I'd love to see them.

ha! I’ll see if I can find some of those pics. Took them with an old Canon Rebel that I found. Was at least 20 years ago, so we only had hard copies. I am definitely not a great photographer...
