Wife and I each ordered The Classic burger and found it to be subpar.
Taste non-existent and burgers barely warm. Seem precooked then left under heat lamps. Could have left out in Vegas sun to got hotter.
Two milkshakes which were awesome plus sweet potato fries.
    $66 total.
Will return for the shakes but never again for burgers.
Surprised as this place tends to get positive reviews.

That isn’t the norm there; the burgers are usually really good :(

I've eaten there 3 or 4 times, and both food/service have been great.

Very unfortunate that you had such a bad experience, and hopefully you made them aware, as I'm sure they would want to make things right.

Gee, that's a shame. You look forward to the experience and it falls flat. I don't eat lukewarm food. It gets sent right back. Thank you for the review!

I had a subpar burger there recently (can’t remember if it was my last time there or not). I haven’t crossed it off my list though, as they have some solid burger combinations (Rising Sun is one of my top picks). I haven’t gotten a shake there yet. What did you get?

I've only eaten there once, but thought the burger was excellent

Sorry to read that, as I leave for LV, Cosmo in 12 hours, and Holsteins is on my list

Yup, sounds about right. Had the same experience on our last trip, when we ate at Holsteins for the very first time. No need to go back.

I had a terrible hamburger and a rude waiter. Lots of better places to eat

    The waiter was actually great.
Told him we just landed and needed plenty of water.
He made numerous trips to the table keeping my glass full.

It’s been about two years since I’ve been there, but my experience was great in the couple times I’ve eaten there. I’m sorry for everyone who isn’t posting good reviews of the place. I’m hoping this isn’t the new norm, I really liked it.

Agreed. I've said here and elsewhere, if you have constructive feedback, it can absolutely be helpful, and any respectable restaurant manager will want to know. If it were something along the lines of "I didn't like it", there's not much they can do with that (not that it's invalid!), but it sounds like you encountered some specific problems. I always say, maybe it was some person in the kitchen off their game, but I've had experiences where the manager was like, "Okay, I wasn't going to make major changes unless it was a one-off thing, but you're not the first person to mention this, so I'm going to deal with it."

It reminds me of the one time I tried to get someone to file a lawsuit. He walked into the restaurant, slipped, and dislocated his shoulder. Now, it was raining out, so that could be a fluke accident. But the manager came over and literally said, "DAMN IT, that's like the fifth person to slip there today." Come on, man.

Yeah, it's definitely cathartic to get it out when you have a disappointing experience in almost any walk of life. If I have a specific issue I will always address it with the staff at the time, and hope to reach a resolution there and then. Then I can relay exactly how everything played out, good or bad. Even if it's not completely resolved, I'll still give the place another shot, because variance. Might make me a sucker, but I'm always willing for it to be shame on me if they do :)

That customer slipping is just madness, and how bad do you have to be at your job to even allow that to play out as it did!

I also view it as just paying it forward. If I had a bad experience, and there's a way to avoid other people having a bad experience with a few minutes of my time, I'm all for it. And by the same token, I'll wait on hold or at the venue to speak to a supervisor specifically to praise a particular person.

The other thing about Holstein's for me is that they keep messing with the menu. There were some great burgers they had in the past but they rotated them out.

Agree 100%. While not strictly relevant, you'll catch more flies with honey, than with vinegar. I keep my vinegar for my french fries :)

I went in 17/18/19 and it was always great, but I can imagine messing with the menu might create some problems, as you say. I'll definitely be sure to go back in December, and hope the Gold Standard is still there.

It is the most overhyped restaurant I've ever been to in Vegas. I have no idea why it constantly get mentioned as having great burgers. Milkshakes are pretty good. Burgers, not so much.

Sorry to hear the food wasn’t up to expectations, it’s always been a good experience for us.

I just noticed the menu doesn’t list the poutine fries anymore. Does anyone remember them? They were my favorite, darn, now gone. Guess this ties in with their changing menu?

I thoroughly enjoyed my burger when I went in June, and the service was very good. I had the Gold Standard burger.
