Harrah's posted some pix on Facebook showing the casino closed. Thought y'all may like seeing these.

My second home. That's depressing as I was supposed to be there later this week.

Thinking about Toy Story and wondering what type of trouble the guy & gal in the 1st photo are getting into when nobody is looking.

There are pics of our local casinos showing images of the casino floor. Even on Easter Sunday the Rivers would of been half packed by now for Easter brunch gamblers.

At this moment, my flight would be on it's final approach. I was going to drop my bags at the Flamingo. Go to a mass at the cathedral next to Wynn, and then a late lunch at Peppermill. Even though slightly bummed, I'm thankful that I and all I know (at this point) are safe and healthy.

Day Two of my cancelled trip, waking up at Bally’s, heading to Mon Ami Gabi for Eggs Benedict and a Bloody Mary. 153 Days until I try it again.

Those pictures makes me . So sad, :( and today being a holiday and sitting home alone makes me an emotional wreck.. This is the first time being all alone on a holiday after losing DH:angel: (June '18) and no adult kids to keep the spirits boosted. Harrah's was one of our favorite places to stay on the strip.

Interesting to me that it looks like all the machines are off. I've seen other casinos that left some on.

When I was there earlier (Feb or March) construction was going and I feared winnie and buck were gone forever. Glad to see they are still there

Just so sad to see the casino all shut down. Harrah's was my first 'home base' for many years.

Wow, a lot of VMB people were going to Vegas this week....I was supposed to fly out this afternoon and return on Thursday. My annual April trip is where I meet up with my friend from San Francisco who has been coming in April for the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Show/Car Show at the Orleans (which would have been this past weekend). He comes in Friday and I come in on Monday; I get him a "studio" unit at one of the Hilton Grand Vacations Club timeshares. Last year one of the front desk people was able to get me the one-bedroom unit next to his which turned it into a 2-bedroom unit we could share.
The first thing to happen was that Viva Las Vegas cancelled the show. So he was going to wait until Monday to come out and join me. Then everything went to hell and the casinos closed up. If Las Vegas opens up again in the near future I will come out on my booked July trip. And then rebook the both of us to come out in September to make up for the missed April trip.

Yep, I would have been there right now, too. Today would have been day 5 of 6. Right now I'd probably be playing early morning video poker at the Downtown Grand Bar, planning to play the 12:00 poker tournament at the Wynn a bit later after a nap.

Today would have been day 6 of our trip. Maybe we will get there later in the year.

Yes there were. We were in the process of setting a place and time for a meetup when this all went down.

so funny seeing the keno section. i thought that game was all but dead in vegas.

I miss the days of eating at a 24 hour diner at some odd hour and the keno lady walking by to collect my ticket. My $2, 15 pick ticket
