Did my host dump me, or am I expecting too much?

I usually get the two mixed up to be honest with you. I once tried booking a room through Tinder. Sometimes my dick pics end up going to my host at Aria. Tomaaaato Tommmato

@Grid , and once you have sent said pics to your host, you don't have to worry about a red envelope either. I would say that pic counts as more than a tip.

For what it is worth, at your level and even a bit higher, the host is usually only going to give you what you can book online yourself. Or call in to add offers.

To cover all bases, I'll just send pics of the "tip"

Agreed. And I usually just book my rooms myself. However, this property has no attached hotel, and he's been booking me a room at the HIE down the street. I can't do that myself, unless I want to pay for the room.

True. I've had some 5k days and a bunch of 2500 in my 7 stars quest but now that I've hit it it's going to taper off a lot. My host used to always tell me to book through her but I carry a RC balance so there's not much she can do for me anyway. I did manage to get a second room booked at a reduced rate and she leaves me chocolates and fiji water every time but I'm sure that'll go away once my play drops too.

I've had hosts at other properties that always tell me to book through them as well. But honestly, that's more of a pain, because as mentioned the most I usually get is basically what I can book myself. And it's so much easier to do that. Unfortunately, to get a room in Indy I have no choice but to have him book it. If it's going to be this much of a pain though, in the future I"ll just drive the extra hour and go to Joliet or Southern IN, and just use Indy for day trips.

Are you like me in that I have put in some pretty good action at CET until I hit Seven Stars, then since there is no significant incentive afterwards, I tone down my CET action until the following year?

Yeah literally no reason for me to go crazy. I'll still play for the fun of it but absolutely not at the levels I've been playing at.

I basically do the same, but just to hit Diamond and then the 25K. After that not much for me to hit. I know I won't make 7*. And they got rid of the 40K and 80K incentives.

That was such a shame and so foolish that they did that. Now there is no incentive for those of us who can earn 50 or 100K TC's but not hit 150K.

So here's an update. I went to my local today for the afternoon, so I went to the host desk to ask about my host. Apparently, he has been out of town on some CET host excursion? Retreat? I don't know. But she took all my info and said someone would get back to me.

I'm not very impressed with their setup. He's out for over a week and doesnt have anyone check his vm, email, texts? I also got no response from the message I left with the office number. At least I know he hasn't left or isn't ignoring me. So I will continue to wait.

The D has this figured out. If you can't get ahold of your host and need something, they have a couple of folks in a reception in front of the host office. If it's something minor, they have some discretion to give it to you. If it's above that level, they'll contact your host for you. If they can't make contact with them, they'll call the host's boss and get you an answer pretty quickly. Sorry, I don't know the names of the positions or the hierarchy, but it seems to work pretty well.

The biggest issue is the no auto reply on email. My previous host always had his 'planned' vacation dates listed in his signature area. When he was out of the office it was set to auto-reply. The new host never has the auto reply set, nor does he have his scheduled vacation days listed. (He is very good about responding when he is in though - I normally always hear back from him the next day). So if I need something soon. I just do it myself as I don't know if he is in or not. I really think some of this is the younger hosts. I don't want to say they aren't courteous but I think it's just something they don't even think about.

I hear your frustration. This has happened to me. If it is a host that I have worked with for years, I let it go about two weeks, then I just re-request everything. 90% of the time, I then get my response. I do not mention that I had texted or emailed them two weeks ago as it just makes everything awkward. But if it is a brand new host (as it is with you) I have found that half the time they are ditching me. So, I call the player's club and go from there.

Ok, so quick update on my host. I sent another email, and never heard back. So my trip yesterday just turned into a day trip. I'm not paying $120 for a crappy HIE 5 miles down the road.

Anyway .... While there I went to the host desk and asked about him. The on-duty host said, hang on, and he went and got him. Korey shows up and is like, "Hey what's up!" So I asked if he got my texts, etc. He said others had mentioned that their text was never returned and "apparently" something is up with his phone or whatever. He was gone for about two weeks, and then sick, blah blah. He asked if I still wanted a room. At that point it was too late as I had not planned on that. But I did ask if I could get a comp to the steak house for 2, since my friend was with me. He ended up giving me $120 to the steak house, and threw in $55 in free play!

So for now, I'm happy with that. We'll see what happens next time, which might be a while since I need to save for Vegas next month!

Did not notice this before... but noticed you did TEXT. I tend to like email as the records are much easier and it is on his computer vs phone where stuff gets lost.

Yeah, hopefully next time he will at least respond.
And sadly I did not hit much. Gambling was pretty much a bust yesterday, not even worth doing a quick TR. But dinner was excellent!!
