I did 3 hours of craps and at least an hour or so of video poker and slots all in one day. We shall see if it changes my offers at all. I've never had an issue contacting a host but even though I know I'm going in June I feel like it's a bit too far in the future to ask to book.

I have always liked the appearance and theme of the DTG. My first trip there was in September 2014. Each time since then it appears less and less is going on there. In 2015, there was barely ANY table games at all left, especially during the day. This November I walked right past there but didn't even bother going in. Their rooms look really nice though, I would stay there for the right place.

I got the BJ mailer a couple of weeks ago saying I could book a package for $99. Last week I dropped in at DTG and gave them about 3 hours of craps and a couple more on slots/vp. Yesterday I get an email for comp entry into the tournament as well as two nights comped. So I'm doubting it's "sold out" but just sold out under the offer code you've got. Maybe I am now bumped up in my offers after my drop in play.

Do you know if they're hosting a party for the super bowl for casino vips?

I got that same email offer. I was wondering if their promotions dept is very behind with offers of it was sold out.

I got the same email offer too. And my original mailer was for complimentary entry, not $99. I emailed the marketing dept at DTG after receiving the email offer, but haven't received a reply.

I have to assume there are a number of comps available for different levels. The promo code I was emailed ends with C. I will check my $99 mailer when I get home this evening. I know that Cosmo as well as The D number their offer codes where everyone within the same band of offers gets the same code. And the only difference is a letter or number in the code to denote the level of offer.

Yes, their offers are very easy to decipher. They usually are DTG0117"X" for downtown grand January 2017 and offer "X". I know 3 different people with offers from Jan-March, all with different last letters to identify their comp group. I have offer "B" for the BJ tourney.

Mine is BJ0117C. I wonder which is "higher"? My offer includes comp entry as well as 2 nights. Perhaps it's room level. And there isn't any food comp or anything else added onto mine. Just entry and room.

From what I have been able to see with the other offers, I think the closer to A on the offer, the better the offer. Or at least it appears that way with the most recent January to March offers I have seen.

Here's the mailer I got a few weeks ago. Same code as my email from this week. Email says comp entry and room while mailer says $99.

Bayou - I got the same mailer that offered a $99 package but then got a mailer for complimentary package haha. So strange. Code in my email is also BJ0117C .

My Jan/Feb/March mailer has code H on it. 2 nights, $20 free play any 2 days and $10 resort credit. Im using that this Mon/Tues. A few days too early for the blackjack tourney fiasco hah

Just found my early 2017 mailer. My code ends with I. 2 nights sun-thurs with $10 freeplay any two days and $10 resort credit.

GF mailer code ends with K. 1 night sun-thurs, $5 free play any two days and $5 resort credit.

Pretty much confirms the closer to A the "better".

Definitely did not put in a lot of play at DTG the one time I stayed - but for what play I did give, I kept losing. Couldn't hit on VP or slots. Again it was micro rolling play but almost all loss. Who knows how it works! I will see how the machines treat me this time. If I get wiped out a 2nd time I will probably just move on. I enjoy staying alive where my home base is.

We play at the DTG quite a bit when we stay there, the last two times being October and December. It's a pleasant place to play. Machines are somewhat spread out, not smokey, good drink service from friendly servers, and generally not very crowded.

They've got 8/5 BP and 9/6 JOB at the quarter level and often have $5 3/2 blackjack and craps. It's the only place I've ever been dealt a royal flush playing video poker, and it was on free play to make it even better! We don't play slots much, but have won overall on theirs.

We really like the boutique feel of the place and the pool (though they need a hot tub). But it's hard to get a quiet room (west side, west tower is the best bet) and their billing is a mess. We've had errors on check out the last two times that took too long to correct considering I had the confirmations showing the right amounts. I would advise anyone staying there to take a copy of your reservation showing your rate, and don't use remote checkout. Go to the front desk and make sure your bill is right.

Question about the tower rooms? I stayed at DTG twice, once in the east tower, and once in the west tower. The east tower is closer to the casino and doesn't require as much walking to the west tower. Does DTG save the east tower rooms for the higher level guests and give out the west tower to the lower tier guests? Which tower do you all prefer? I'm intending to request the east tower on my next trip in January if available.

I was upgraded to a premium corner room in the west tower on the 25th floor. I loved the room!
